How Aptet Works

Aptet

Aptet in 4 steps

Lock in a pair of sectors that historically move opposite each other, measure which side has the stronger trailing momentum each week, then shift capital toward that side -- either all at once or in proportion to how large the gap is.

1Sector pair

Side A

Information Technology

Side B

Health Care

Example pair, chosen once by full-history correlation

Two sectors, picked once for their anti-correlation.

2Momentum gap
Information Technology+2.1%
Health Care-0.6%
Trailing ~63-day return, adjusted for market-wide moves

Compare each side's trailing momentum every week.

3Rotate

Hard switch

100% stronger side

Continuous tilt

e.g. 68% / 32% split

Shift weight toward whichever side is stronger.

Aptet trades a fixed pair of sectors chosen for how consistently they move in opposite directions, then shifts capital toward whichever side has the strongest trailing momentum each week. The following slides walk through Regina and Dux, the official Aptet bots. Aptet is currently available as an official bot only, not yet open to custom user-built configurations.

  • Splits into two sides, each a named market sector (for example, Information Technology vs. Health Care)
  • Rotates capital between the two sides instead of picking individual stock winners from one broad universe
